Dawn, Spilling

Perfumed ink of ebbing spring night,
Seeping into our open bedroom window,
Spilling coolness,
Lush sweetness,
Our alabaster sheets, absorbing.

Dreaming a thousand dreams of you,
Sensuality nuzzling my psyche,
Memories of a prolonged kiss,
Lips caressing,
Tongues dancing slowly,
Begging to awaken,
And make it real again.

My muse ever listening,
You tease my silk slumber,
Shifting the sheets,
Porcelain smooth leg
Draping my own…

Satin lushness of your skin,
Furnishing mine…

Your arm possessing my chest,
Spanning my breaths…

Honeysuckle of your curls,
Caressing my cheek…

Syrupy moist “I need you,”
Whispering, urging,
Rousing me from slumber
Conveying me to your world.

Nighttime, now surrendering,
Darkness, now retreating,
Anticipation washing over me,
Your sensual warmth spreading,
Our love consuming,

Dawn now,
