Tether Me To You

Tether me to tropical dreams,
Sea breeze’s pleasure,
Hibiscus sunshine corona,
The measure.

Sensual beauty,
Undiminished, my hunger,
Your white ginger whisper,
To savor, to sup,
Coalescing my urges.

Opal Phalaenopsis aura,
Mother of Pearl draping,
My dream world, you, shaping,
Pull me,
Pull me into your warm whisper.

Swaddled in your azure sky,
Cotton clouds floating,
Your joy radiating,
Your swelling surf embracing,
Spilling Plumeria divinations,
My body, soliciting.

Bind me with your artistry,
Seizing my spirit,
Slake not my desire,
But fuel our fires
Unstoppable, now.

Where heart’s longing leads you,
Where passion inflames you,
Our heat all-consuming,
We dance as if one,
On desire’s lush journey…

Tethered together,
Our dream,

Just begun.

    1. So many thanks…and that’s exactly the way I saw this scene. I wanted to wrap the words around the basic purity of that moment.

    1. Thank you, Ally!!! I love them too!

When I was in the Navy stationed in Hawaii, there were glorious yellow hibiscus the blooms of which were almost the size of dinner plates! Well… not quite that big … but you know what I mean. 😊

      1. My Pleasure, Bill…We have a profusion of them in our area, lots of bright colors. I can just imagine how glorious they are in Hawaii.
