Why Not?

Misty dreams of lush love,
Fragrant forever…

Our first step.

Your hand,
Holding my heart in your fingertips,
Effusive warmth,
Your spirit,
Flooding mine…

The second step.

Your lustrous,
Dark eyes,
Speaking volumes of us,
Hushed whispers,
Romance novel swelling,
Our passion to mimic,
Sense of complete commitment,
Framed by the blush of your cheeks…

The third step.

So on this journey,
We begin,
Fighting obstruction,
Stepping with intent,
Striding past
Shards of society’s angst,
Never to sever…

We tread together,
Our hearts,
Willing to risk all,

And yet,

We walk.

Hand in hand,
Challenging the unknown,

And in joy, smiling.

Why not dream?

Why not begin our walk?

Why not live and love?

Why not?

    1. Thank you Dorothy!!

Some questions are so simple…as are the answers. Guess that was the main idea.

      Really appreciate it!!

    1. Yes, Sibyl…precisely. Perhaps it’s a rhetorical question when relationships have matured to that point.

      1. Why not? Because most men these days haven’t a clue about being as-one with another . . . Complete

      2. Yes…that’s it. When two are soul-mates…they already know the answer to the question….”Why not?”

      3. The sad thing is Bill girls are losing their femininity because they are being forced to prove they are equal to a man.

      4. Hmm… good point.

Perhaps all we can do is write about what we believe to be true.

      5. Exactly, we are, and we practice what we preach.
Positive Role models that stand out from the negative crowd, have an air of mystery about them, especially the male line, and many have
made a significant difference. History has proved that fact.

    1. So many thanks Gianna. Seems to me that answers to such questions are known…and though rhetorical, need to be asked regardless…if only to make a point. To emphasize reality. Does that make sense?

      1. Yes, it makes perfect sense. You make a great point there.

      2. The really important stuff speaks volumes, and if we listen with our hearts, the rest is rightfully muted.
