Somewhere Between The Lullabies…

Struggling,
Spreading,
Piercing,
Crocus, verdant,
Venous arms reaching,
Piercing winter’s shield,
Vernal life springing,
Leafage striving, sculpted petals pursuing,
Magentas, ambers,
Whispering lullabies of summer’s future,
Warm,
Love,
Life.

Sweeping,
Lush shoreline waves,
August seaside ganache,
Spreading richness, smoothness,
Caress,
White sand beaches, absorbing,
Energy consumed, dissonance dissipated,
Defining the zest,
Whispering what is good,
Murmuring lullabies of fall’s future,
Warm,
Love,
Life.

Drifting downward,
Beholden, barely,
Gravity’s draw so wistfully felt,
Defying the norm,
Alabaster snowflake’s persona,
Exalted,
Downy indulgence,
All that is soft and right
In this life,
Exalting lullabies of spring’s future,
Warm,
Love,
Life.

Season’s voices speaking,
Plainly parsing,
Important,
From the unimportant…

Gently laying me in
My oasis of tomorrow,
My healing space.

A season’s worth of lullabies,

Leaving me somewhere,
Somewhere between the lullabies,

Resting in grace…

And love…

In your arms.

  7. Love the structure and the images of each stanza, also the different flows, usually ending in monosyllabic words that speed up the rhythm of your poem and thus you create great emotional intensity. So well written, my friend!
