The Colors And Textures Of… (Spoken Word Poetry)

Brilliance,
New day sun,
Glimmering in you.

Sparkling sensation,
Fingertips alive,
Holding your satin cheeks.

Eyes,
Ours,
Deeply gazing,
Infused with certain oneness.

Such a simple,
Physical,
Gesture…

Holding your beautiful face,
Both my hands,
Calloused,
Rough,
Embarrassed…

Overwhelmed,
Weeping,
Unworthy to touch…

You.

To cradle
The essence of elegance.

Your eyes,
Lustrous,
Moist reflections
Of all that is worthy.

Sheen of forever.

Rose petal blushed,
Pastels of passion,
Painted on your cheeks.

Spill of curl,
Waves of silk,
Washing over my wanting hands,
Your mane,

Gracing my vision,
Framing everything beautiful,
Everything essential…

You.

Just in this moment,
My world,
My needs,
My desires…

Defined.

Just by cradling you.

Your face gifting eternity
To my fingertips.

Your eyes gifting luxury
To mine.

Such a royal rich tapestry.

Such beauty
And utter quiet of commitment,

Just holding
The colors
And textures of you.

The colors
And textures of…

Love.
