Even in darkness of fading day,
Our bodies,
Our lives,
Our dreams…

So naturally knowing,
So beautifully fusing.

Jasmine graces your hair,
Spilling across my chest,
Spilling across my life,
Filling me,
Resting me,
Gracing, me…

Under my right arm,
Our sofa, our throne,
Your beautiful face,
Framed by your mane,
Waves, softness, elegance,
You gifting your smile,
Warming me,
Elevating me,
Gracing, me…

Your right leg draped over mine,
Gentle, flannel pajamas your armor,
Favorite fleece enrobing your chest,
Challenging my faded jeans,
Your bare foot extended,
Toes warmed by the fire before us,
Teasing me,
Arousing me,
Gracing, me…

Your right arm,
Enwrapping my chest,
My old, faded T-shirt succumbs,
Fire from your flesh,
Commanding my pulse,
Commanding me,
Gracing, me…

Miraculous detail.
Exquisite synergy.
Wonderful commitment….

So instinctively harmonizing,

Our bodies connect.

Our pieces,

So perfectly…

So perfectly

    1. Mich….that is so very kind of you. I’m honored by your comments.

To me…it was just such a beautiful image of a man and a woman…in love. So pure. So simple.

      Maybe that’s the best way.

      Just my thoughts.

  1. this comes from a beautiful place from your heart to the world, how delicately you frame the words with a border of safe harbour – write from the heart and you touch ours, so so beautiful

      1. Yes! Plus I love watching the fire burning!! Where I used to live I had a glass door wood burning stove it was nice watching the fire.

Can’t wait till the weather warms up to have bonfires.

        😊😊 !!!

  2. You always paint the most romantic pictures in your poems, Bill. This is one of my favorites. The simplicity of cuddling on the couch and sharing each other’s warmth in that moment is priceless. If only more people saw how powerful such a moment can be. You feel so much love in those times. This is another beautifully written poem from your heart, my friend!
