Defending Your Dreams (Spoken Word Poetry)

A thousand rich stories,
Your eyes clearly speaking,
The important,
Impactful,
What you need to feel safe.

A thousand rich stories,
Your voice softly whispers,
Aspirations,
And yearnings,
What you long for in life.

A thousand rich stories,
Your heart now pronouncing,
How to hold you,
How to touch you,
Lush caress for your soul.

Your life now you’ve laid bare,
I sense deep within you,
The woman, so beautiful,
Gracing my world.

A personal pure portrait,
Your finger tips painting,
My lips your moist canvas,
Your colors on me.

I feel who you are,
I see your forever,
There’s nothing more certain
Than what I need now,

Just to serve you,
And love you,
Commit my devotion
My life now your fortress…

Defending your dreams.

    1. So many thanks Gina!! I appreciate your forbearance to not only see these words again…but to hear me speak them. I have an urging to explore the spoken word.

      1. ah you are doing all the work, i am just the privileged audience, spoken word has many merits, more people are touched by the warmth of the voice, than just reading, but only a few do it really well, and you do.

  8. It is so nice to meet another romantic poet. This is so beautiful. Thank you for reading it out loud! Poetry is meant to be spoken aloud and to be heard, and you did it perfectly. 😊
