I Hunger To Hear

Our eyes speaking volumes,
Lush words, hearts discerning,
Our ears feel forever,
Devotion, tongues taste.

Eons of romance,
A clarity, transcendent,
Complete serendipity,
Consummate, conjoined.

I read, and re-read you,
Each chapter, exposing,
A beautiful nuance,
New fragrance to sense.

Mysterious woman,
You, essence of elegance,
Surprising my life,
With abundance of grace.

Lie with me now,
Your words all-consuming,
Nothing between us,
But passion’s pure heat.

Open your innermost,
Weave me so deeply,
Your lips sharing secrets,
I hunger to hear.

  1. I think it’s such a beautiful thing when someone wants to read us deeper. Not just on a skin deep level, but on a soulfully deep level. To almost immerse themselves into who we are and seemingly become a part of us. That’s the image I see when I read these words, Bill. Really such a powerful piece that shows how deeply you love the person and want to know them on a deeper level than merely the physical. I’m not sure if that’s what you were trying to convey in this poem, but that’s just what comes to mind for me. Beautiful work, as always my friend!
