Rest Deeply In Me

Day’s burdens done,
Night gathering quiet,
Draping pure peace,
Awaiting my love.

Finally home
Your glorious radiance
Just come to me now,
My gentle desire.

Your body to hold,
Your whisper to hear,
Your mind to caress,
Sweet salve for your soul.

Bury your cheek
My chest longs to greet you,
Crisscross your arms
My back your embrace.

Hear my heart beat,
Hear your forever,
Love’s beautiful melody,
Played only for you.

My arms now enrobe you,
Cradling your worries,
Encircling life’s challenges,
To shoulder your doubt.

Rest now
My angel.

Rest in my evening,

Your tasks now complete,
Self-sacrifice done.

Jewels of time
Your treasure,
To hold now.

Let go of misgivings,
Our tomorrow,
All yours.

Rest deeply
My angel.

Safe harbor awaits you,

Rest deeply,
My angel,

Rest deeply…

In me.

      You have touched me.

What more does a man and woman need…

Other than love, nature, and wine?

      1. I totally agree, a beautiful brook, rich wine and love ( I would prefer a pen πŸ–Š and paper too to weave words)

This damned keyboard is so shallow.

      3. Same here, although I feel I’ve lost practice of writing with pen now! But I surely want to get a good ink pen πŸ–Š and a leather notebook to just glide on smooth papers!

and a full pot of strong, hot, black coffee.
