Old-fashioned Courtship

Beauty blooms,
Building rich forever
In slowness,
Yes?

Clasp of hands,
Pulse flourishing,
Fingers singular first
Then joined,
More meaning in total,
Than the sum of each.

Beautiful mystery
Utter anticipation,
Moist moments ahead,
That next kiss teasing now,
If only sooner…

Delicious,
When consummated
Nonetheless.

Our emotional committment
So rightfully subordinating,
Temporal,
Physical,
Fleeting,
Pleasure…

Depth of forever,
Fathoms further
Than any momentary touch.

Just knowing,
Basking in glorious light
Hearts enjoining,
So certain of romance,
Pure power exposed.

Not needing to rush.

Eternity ours.

Just perfect…

Just pure…

And beautifully old-fashioned…

Courtship.

      3. Con el paso del tiempo la pareja se desprende del enamoramiento del principio y si no existe una buena base de amistad y compromiso es muy dificil que la relación dure para siempre…

  2. there is sweetness and there is passion here and then there’s a moment when the lines are so blurred it becomes ecstasy. love the temporal moments the best, when the mind connects and then the body expresses. so beautiful reading on my thunder filled morning.

  3. “Let thy step be slow and steady, that though stumble not”,
For things to last forever slow and steady is the key!
