Other Than This…

Our great,
Personal,
Singular life journey

For all of us,

Will end.

At that point
Of reckoning,
What will I honor?

What will I look back upon
With a sense
Of having truly
Lived my life?

What will have defined
The reason for my breathing
And being?

This is my testament…

That

No earthly treasure
Nor physical pleasure
Will have retained importance.

Neither status
Nor grandeur,
Will be worthy of remembering.

At the end of my journey,
At my day of reckoning,

Nothing else will matter,
Other than this…

That I accepted the redemption
Of the risen King,

And that I had the honor,
And chance fortune…

Of loving you.

      1. You make me smile my friend…and I agree with you. The words that mean the most, they come so easily and freely.

My Saturday night is going well, and I wish the same for you…and a melting snow as well!!!

      2. Wonderful…

        I wish you a warm evening…

And the wish that in the morning, all the snow will be gone…

To the degree that you desire…

As I know, your camera desires contrast and content, and maybe needs the snow.

        I’m just sayin’

        🙂

      3. Thanks so much !! 😊

Yes! Can’t wait to test out the new camera here in a couple weeks! And see what quality images it produces.

The snow does add a little extra contrast .. So I really don’t mind it . although I prefer the the fresh snow drapping everything. Lol. ! But I’ll take whatever I can get 😄

  1. there are somethings we cannot compromise on, our faith is surely one of them and our beliefs in something we cannot see but know with all our heart is true. this reads like a prayer, very reverent of the life given to you, so happy to read this on my beautiful Sunday morning. thank you Bill, hope your day has been a lovely one too.
