Heart Strings

So delicately,

You made me your melody.

Each note you intoned
Drew me more deeply
Into the hues
Of your lyricism,

As if the pure blending
Of phrases and sound
Could become one…

In elegant physical harmony,

A lullaby of love.

Now you’ve whispered into me
A newness of life,
Unblemished by the cacophony,
And noises of my past.

Just your gentle touch,
With feather-light caress,

Each fingertip
Making me want you
All the more…

Each fingertip,
Tugging at my heart strings…

In the quiet song
Of our romance.
