Cast Your Moments With Me

I know,

There is nothing more precious
Than moments of life.

There are only
But so many brilliant blooms
In spring
To grace our years alive.

There are only
But so many falls,
Filled with the palette
Of ever-changing folliage
That we will ever see.

Nothing is guaranteed,

All could be gone tomorrow.

So I know
In the depth of my heart,
How important these questions are…

Would you cast your moments with me?

Would you share your journey with me?

I long for every sunset,
To be painted
By the brilliance
Of your beauty,

I dream of every night
To be spent in your arms,
A wholly rich,
And restful dream world.

I desperately desire
For every dawn
To portend the mystery
And excitement of sharing
A new day,

Every moment…

With the woman I love.

Hold my hands,

Look into my eyes,

Whisper to me
The longing of your heart.

Paint for me a picture
Of all your dreams.

If a vision of forever
Is what you long for
My love,

Then I,

I am your man.

Just commit to me,

Pledge your heart to me,

And together,
We’ll walk life’s path…

Our perfect journey.

Just promise to
Cast your
Few and precious

Moments with me.

    1. That’s so very kind of you Jamie. Just writing what comes to mind…yes?

I really wanted to get to what’s important in life. With so few precious days in our lives…commitment may be at the top of the list.

      I’m just sayin’.

    1. I really appreciate it Brandi…it’s all about someone making the investment in another…to grow old…with that special person. I see that as such a beautiful commitment, and that inspired the words.

      Hope that makes sense.

      1. You captured that thought perfectly! It’s also a beautiful way of saying that someone does not have to travel through life alone. Like a promise that you will travel to those places with them, even the scary ones. Your words have so many levels of meanings and this poem is no exception, Bill. So yes, it totally makes sense. πŸ™‚

You’re creating junkies, my friend! 😁

  1. I always appreciate your poetry, Bill, But this one especially touched my heart. I want to repeat your words to my lover, my dear husband of 56 years, and reignite the passion, β€œWhisper to me The longing of your heart. Paint for me a picture Of all your dreams.” And then we’ll continue to live them together! Ah yes, ever the romantic. I love your expressions of tenderness. β€οΈπŸ‘πŸ½

      1. It sure is! Three T’s of a loving, lasting marriage: Tenacity and trust with a lot of talking (to one another and to God!) πŸ€ͺπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘©β€β€οΈβ€πŸ’‹β€πŸ‘©
