Feed Me

Of course,
My eyes feast
On you.

I’m insatiable
When it comes to
Your beauty,

It’s all I can do
To break my stare
And avert my gaze.

Your deep,
Dark,
Moist,
Lustrous eyes
Illuminate a path
To your innermost self

Offering me a window
Into your grace.

And your rich,
Tawny
Silky mane,
Begs for my touch,

While your curves
And outspoken sensuality
Demand my caress.

Sorry,
Can’t help myself…

It’s so hard not to
Fantasize about you.

But beyond
These physical hungers,

Consider this….

There’s a deeper,
And more urgent need
Inside me.

I need your mind.

I need to romance your wit,
And sassiness,

Your edgy,
Compelling choice
Of words,
And structure.

You tease me with your verse,
You know that…

Don’t you?

Every word,
Every post,
Ever public profession
Of your complete command
Of language…

Consume me,
And fuels
A hunger in me.

Don’t forget,
Nor underestimate,
How much you attract me

Physically.

But dwell on this…

I beg equally for
Your words,

How you untangle
And lay straight,
And pure,
Ideas of brilliance.

I crave

How you draw me in…

Into your world,

Compelling me to read
Again,
And again,

Unable to put down
Your verse
And let go
Of you.

I’m here,
So close,
Starving for your words

So in need,
So hungry
For your writing.

So in need
Of you.

Just give it to me…

Just…

Feed me.

    1. Thank you so much Marta!! I haven’t published anything, but I have been thinking about it. Didn’t really know if there would be a viable market, and how to go about doing it.
