We All Have Our Secrets, Don’t We?

I noticed a look,
In your eyes…

Maybe I was mistaken,
But I don’t think so.

Direct connection,
Suggestively raw,
Laid bare…

And pure.

Unwilling to settle
For less
Than what you want,
And undoubtedly need,
So badly.

Because those are
My thoughts
As well.

No verbal cues,
Just the look,

And sense of a feel…

A feel of your lips
On mine,

A feel of your flesh
On mine,

A feel of your heat
And my heat,

We don’t need
To tell anyone,
Do we?

This is just for us.

Our dream.

Our fantasy.

No one else
Needs to know…

We all have our secrets,

Don’t we?

  1. I always thought it was so amazing how two people can simply look at each other, without saying a word, yet know what the other is thinking and feeling. It’s like there’s something being thrown out in the air that only they can see, or feel. You captured this experience perfectly! 😊

      1. You’re very welcome! Exactly! I totally agree! Only love can make that deeper connection happen – when in silence, what is said within one’s heart and mind can be heard by the other (though it’s not really being said out loud). Did that make sense? Lol.

      2. That made perfect sense Brandi…so clearly spoken. There’s a magic there, not fully understood, or definable…but pure and compelling. You should write a poem about that!

      3. I’m so glad that made sense! Sometimes I get caught up in my own thoughts… I can know what I want to say, but sometimes it may not come out quite as I hear it in my mind! Lol! Thank you, Bill, and you’re absolutely right!

Haha! I could TRY to write about that! Not sure if I would do the subject any justice! 😄

      4. I know what you mean, and I feel the same. And…I for one…believe that you can write forcefully and beautifully about anything you so choose. I see examples of that everyday in your posts. I’m just sayin’. 🙂
