Falling

Heart in my throat,

Wind rushing,
Screaming in my ears
That I am no longer,
No longer in control.

A feeling of weightlessness,
And terror,

Knowing

Neither

When,

Nor where,

Nor how

I will land.

But that’s the
Fright,
And reality
Of falling in

Love,

Isn’t it?

Maybe I shouldn’t
Have jumped,

Maybe I shouldn’t
Have let you push me…

It’s just that
You take the breath
From my lungs,
And the beat
From my heart.

But all that is past

As I find myself
Hurtling towards

An uncertain future
With you.

All I can do

Is hope,

And trust
In your arms
To catch me

As I’m falling
Into the
Beautiful bliss

Of you.

  2. Beautiful… don’t let someone fall in love with you unless you plan to catch them when they do…
