All Tangled Up

I like things
To be orderly.

I like well
Thought-out plans
That are executed precisely.

I want and need
Things to be
Squared away,
With formality,
And discernible discipline.

But with you…

Well,

That’s where
Things change…

When I’m with you…

My heart wants
To race with abandon.

When I’m with you…

I don’t care
What we do,
How we do it,
Or when we do it.

You just drive me
To emotional wildness
Longing for release,

Hot,
Unruly,
Unrelenting…

Under the sheets
With you…

All tangled up.

  1. Predictability in relationships can be comforting but also boring. You did a good job showing that spur-of-the-momentness can spice things up. 🙂

      1. Sets the heart afire. I wanted to say the second half was simply wonderful: hot and racy. But without the contrast of the first part, the effect would have been a lot less delicious. Enjoyed it!
