What Makes Me Want You

Of course…

You are breathtakingly beautiful.

Maybe it’s your dark, lustrous hair,
Framing your gorgeous face.

And,
I so love your figure,
Physically tempting…

Hot.

Period.

And your smile?

Inquisitive,
Inviting,
Commanding with a bit of quirk,
Particularly when you’ve bested me,
Which is pretty much,
Always.

And BTW,
The glasses…love that look.
Just a little bit studious,
But edgy,
And challenging,
And sexy…

So, listen to me.

Look into my eyes
When I say this.

You,
Beautiful woman
Sway me,

Completely,

With the physical,
With the tactile,
With the visual.

But hear,
And accept,
This…

What makes you,
Over-the-top alluring…

Is more,
So much more than just appearance…

It’s what’s inside you.

Your wit,
And sense of humor,
Cleverness,
Deeply caring nature,
Commanding presence,
Strength,
Pureness,
Sense of perfection,
And unmatched high standards…

All these characteristics
Make you different…
Make you special,
So very special,
And attractive.

Sorry if I’m not simply about looks.

Sorry if I’m too unsophisticated to be amazed
By just the physical world.

What I need,

What I desire,

What I long for,
Is something separate,
Different,
And ungrounded…

Just pure female
Power,
Conviction,
And presence.

Don’t you see…

Don’t you accept
That’s what makes you so
Totally,
And perfectly singular?

And makes me seek
You,

And love
You,

And desire…

And desire more
Than anything

To satisfy you.

It’s what makes me want
You…

And no other…

Forever.

  1. This is exquisite, even if it might have been written a while ago.

    1. Thanks Vera…as always. But to the contrary, I finished the piece this afternoon. Just me, my drink, and this sunset. Amazing the clarity those ingredients provide.

      1. WordPress should allow one to like a post multiple times, then.

      2. Oh…I suspect that it does. 🙂

      3. Does it? Clicking on the ‘like’ button is only a toggle between like and unlike. It does not register many likes.

      4. Perhaps, if one is predisposed to another comment, they simply reply again to the original. Hmmm…seems to me that this approach worked when I’ve expressed repetitive comments. But then again…I’m not technical. 🙂
