Tell Me…Clearly

I admit it…

I’ve never been
Very good
At discerning
A woman’s thoughts,

What a woman’s words
Really
Mean.

Her eyes help
Me decipher,
Somewhat…

But even
With that
Extra insight,
I still get it wrong,

And

Simply

Don’t

Understand.

So
Here I am,
With you.

Maybe,
You mean it
To be
This way.

Maybe,
You just
Intend to be
Coy,

Holding all
The cards
Of my heart,

Playing them
As you deem
Appropriate.

But now,

Now…

I have to know,

Am I
The right man
For you…

Can I satisfy
All your needs,

Can I make
Your dreams
Come true?

You and I
Need nothing,
But trust,
And clarity.

Please don’t assume…

That I understand.

Please don’t gamble
On us…

Please don’t risk
Our forever…

Just take my hands,
Look at me

Don’t begin
To think
That I grasp,
Fully,
What you intend.

It is neither simple,
Nor trivial,

Please speak
Directly,
To my heart.

Please…

Tell me…

Clearly.
