Re-shaping Me…To Love

Powerful,
Pressing,
Exhausting forces

Of emptiness,

And loneliness,

Had sculpted me
With indelicate fingers,

No longer full
Nor feeling…

Just languishing
In the netherworld
Of nothingness.

And then…

You,

Freshening,

Beautiful,

Exuding grace
And elegance,

And everything
That is right,
And good
In this world.

Unworthy
Of you…

I wait,
Ready,

For your warmth
And unconditional acceptance
Of me,

Gifting
Another chance
To live…

Re-shaping me…

To love.

  2. You have made your readers feel every troy of your emotional weight. It is really quite wonderful. It also reminds me of something I have been trying to write in which the protagonist — in this case the heroine — says: you are good, and I am damned, we are made for each other. Serendipitous.
