Unsophisticated Love

Now that you’re here,
Now that you know me,

I need to make sure
That you understand
One thing…

I am not about pomp
And circumstance.

This is not about frills
And the unnecessary.

This is about
A man
And a woman,
On the edge of love,
On the edge of

If you seek façade
Over fullness…

I am not your man.

If you need conspicuousness
Vice completeness…

I am not your man.

If you need drama,
Rather than deliberate,

I am not your man.

Just pureness…

Just finality…

Just an unending story
Of living life
To its totality,

That’s what makes me,

Is what I have to offer.
