You Have Seen All Of Me

I’ve been intimate
With others…

As I know you have.

Those women
Have touched my skin.

I have felt their fingers
Explore the terrain
Of me.

Those women
Have seen my body,
With all its strengths,
And frailties.

But now…

My skin
Is no longer
Unknown to your eyes…

To your fingers.

But you’ve done
What no other has.

Despite my defenses,
And walls raised
To protect my innermost

You’ve found a way
To penetrate those walls,
To explore not only my skin,
But the entire depth…

Of me.

Others might
Have seen,
And touched,
My flesh.

But you have seen
My heart.

You have seen…

All of me.

  1. Vulnerability in it’s most sacred place. Opening ourselves up to another soul, hoping to be loved as we are

  2. this is so beautiful…“It’s easy to take off your clothes and have sex. People do it all the time. But opening up your soul to someone, letting them into your spirit, thoughts, fears, future, hopes, dreams… that is being naked.” -Rob Bell
