To Bathe You…

Sunday morning,

These are my plans.

Sleep until fully rested,
Satiated in the quiet,
And solitude,
Of our bed…

Your oasis.

But I,
Will rise early,
To make this day
Ready for you.

Before heading downstairs,
Know that I will take
One precious moment,
To gaze at you in beautiful sleep.

Just to know
That you are resting,
In comfort,
And safety,
Brings me so much contentment.

But now, it’s off to the kitchen.

Now, it’s my time.

First, a mug
Of hot black coffee
To stimulate my mind,
While the vision of you,
In our bed,
Stimulates my heart.

Second, I need to attend
To my tasks,
All straightforward.

Each strawberry will be sliced slowly,
Each slice joining others,
Waiting to be rained
With coarse, raw sugar,
To add texture,
And a depth of sweetness…

All, anxiously awaiting
The crown of fresh whipped cream,
Laced with the aromatics of Madagascar vanilla.

The croissant,
I will warm for you
Is delicate, fresh,
And lusciously fragrant.

32 layers of fold, upon luxurious fold,
A perfect marriage of butter,
And flour,
And love…

Waiting to be adorned
By raspberry jam,
And perhaps,
Just a little more warm,

And lastly,
Rich espresso,
Filling the demitasse,
With its fullness,
Now married,
With a salted caramel syrup…

The perfect union of strength,
And richness,
And sweet,

Reflecting the power
And depth of you.

I simply must stage each flavor,
As if a willing sacrifice for your taste buds,
A willing sacrifice for you,
My goddess.

This breakfast,
This start to your day
Will occur
Neither too early,
Nor too late.

But when you,
Are ready,
To wake,
And consume this new day.

Know this.

I am here,
For you.

Nothing gives me more pleasure

Than to be with you…

To provide for you…

To give myself to you.

I am here.

To serve you…

To bathe your new day,

To bathe you…

In me.

  1. Funny how when one is in love there is delicious sensuality in everything from cream to croissant and coffee to culminate in the final consummation of passion. Adore this!
