I Will Catch You

So many years past,
And now you’re alone.

Everything you knew about life,
The structure,
The surety of what was to be…

Gone.

Your life, your love
Is past,
Or at least that’s
The way it feels.

Do not fear.

Open your heart,
Let me in.

All the warmth you felt before,
Hold that ember.
Do not let that glow perish.

Cast your fears to me,

Abandon your cares.

Fall,
Fall far from today.

Let your body,
Let your very self go.

I am here.

My future is now yours.

Hold out your hand,
For me…
For me to grasp.

I will catch you.
