Impossible

“A load is first impossible,
When we have put it down.”

Emily Dickinson…he thought.

How could she be more clear,
And yet more challenging, he wondered?

At that moment in his life, there were so many loads,
And he wanted so badly to put them down.

He ached for understanding,
For seeing a clear path to carry those loads to completion.

But there was no clear path.

No way ahead.
No path known to peace.

All seemed so distant.

All he had was his God and Savior.

And the beautiful woman by his side,
For which he entrusted all.

And that,

That was enough.
